Therapist and Relationship Coach

I view my work as modern alchemy: using art and science, instinct and research, I’m here to support your transformation.

Therapy

As a therapist, I work with those in search of deepening self-awareness, exploring and healing past experiences, managing anxiety or perfectionism, or developing new communication skills. I offer virtual sessions for individuals and couples in Washington state and Washington, DC.

Relational Coaching

As a coach, I aim to support those who are interested in growing their relationship and creating a more secure foundation, especially during periods of life transitions. I offer virtual sessions for individuals and couples located anywhere as well as group workshops.

Therapy vs. coaching

People pursue therapy and coaching because they want something to be different, either now or in the future. Therapy is mental health treatment and must be medically necessary, including a diagnosis, if you use insurance. Coaching is not mental health treatment and therefore is not medically necessary, has no diagnosis, and is not insurance-eligible. Coaching is typically shorter term while therapy is often - but not always - longer term. While both invite self-reflection, therapy emphasizes unpacking emotions and feelings due to mental health concerns while coaching focuses more on identifying and enacting desired behaviors and skills.

For therapy and coaching, the relationship between the client(s) and the therapist/coach is important. In both, clients are sharing personal information. My goal is for all my clients to feel that I am a trusted, supportive ally in their growth process.

I work with therapy clients who are in Washington state and Washington, D.C.
I work with coaching clients in any location.

All sessions are offered virtually.
