Premarital Coaching

For couples prior to marriage

Great relationships don’t just happen by accident! They are made by purposefully learning and growing together over time. The premarital coaching package will give you skills and tools that provide a strong foundation for your marriage.

We may start with an optional assessment to give a framing for the strengths, challenges, and areas of growth that are currently present in your relationship. I use skills and tools from Prepare/Enrich, a leading premarital program, and the Gottman Institute, a well-respected relational research lab, to guide our time together. My approach is not religious-based but, when relevant, I incorporate the couple’s values regarding religion and spirituality.

My goal for premarital work is that you feel stronger and more connected - proud of the relationship you have built and ready for the journey of your marriage or long-term commitment.

Topics

Sessions are fairly structured, with each focused on a new topic. Prior to beginning our work together, you will both complete a questionnaire to provide me with more information about your goals, strengths, and concerns. With this, I will create a plan specifically for you.

• Finances and career

• Sex and intimacy

• Extended family and friends

• Faith / religion

• Relationship roles

• Deepening friendship

• Looking to the future: goals and shared purpose

pricing

Premarital coaching is a package of six 50 minute appointments for $900. Payment of $150 is due on the day of each appointment. An active credit card is required to be on file.

There is an additional fee if you choose to take one of the optional relational assessments, paid directly to either Prepare/Enrich ($35) or the Gottman Institute ($39).
